How We Started Our Hydrotherapy Clinic
How We Started Our Hydrotherapy Clinic
K9 Aquatic Care Centre is a clinic in Walkerton, Ontario which offers hydrotherapy for dogs. Our business started when the company founder encountered an experience relating to hydrotherapy for one of her own dogs.
Her 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog developed elbow dysplasia, and the vet suggested he should undergo an operation and hydrotherapy. She realized that the closest clinic that offers hydrotherapy is hours away from her place. That's why she decided to go to school, train and then open a clinic that provides hydrotherapy, so that people living in rural areas aren't faced with the same dilemma.
We feel that rural communities should have the same benefits as urban centres, particularly when it comes to the physical and emotional well-being of our pets. Opening our clinic allows "water wellness" and massage therapy to be much more accessible.
